Early Bird Customers Have Started Receiving Their Toyota Innova Hycross

• Deliveries for the Toyota Innova Hycross are underway.

The new generation Toyota Innova Hycross was launched in the country back in December 2022. Now, almost a month after its launch, the MPV has started leaving the showroom floors and reaching its respective customers' homes. Offered in a total of five broad variants, G, GX, VX, ZX, and ZX (O), the retail price for the Innova Hycross ranges between Rs 18.30 lakh and Rs 28.97 lakh (ex-showroom). Pre-launch bookings for the MPV opened back in November 2022.

The new generation Toyota Innova Hycross is all new right from its underpinnings. There are major design revisions inside and out, and even the powertrain has witnessed a major revision.

Rear-wheel drivetrain and the diesel engine has been chucked from the lineup; instead, there’s a 186PS 2-litre petrol hybrid powertrain to keep the fuel efficiency in check. There’s also a 174PS 2-litre petrol engine on offer which is limited to the G and GX trims. The former has been exclusively reserved for fleet owners. The strong-hybrid powertrain has a claimed mileage of 21.1kmpl and is geared using an e-CVT transmission, while the petrol-only powertrain gets a CVT gearbox.

As for its features, the top highlights include ADAS functionality, a 10.1-inch infotainment system, ventilated front seats, a large panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, a 360-degree camera, and a digital driver’s display. It also gets wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless phone charger, and up to six airbags.

With the premium quotient of the Innova Hycross going up, the prices for the MPV have also crept upwards – topping at just under the Rs 30-lakh price point. But the previous-generation Innova Crysta has also been reincarnated with a few tweaks and the same 2.4-litre diesel engine. Its prices haven’t been revealed, but it will be an affordable proposition in comparison to the Innova Hycross.
