The upcoming updated Bajaj Pulsar N150 was teased a couple of days ago. While we’d speculated it might get dual-channel ABS, it seems like Bajaj has something entirely different in store. Based on an exclusive trademark document we’ve gotten our hands on, it might get connectivity features. Even the teaser shows us a glimpse of the console, albeit switched off.
The trademark with the name “Bajaj Ride Connect” was applied by Bajaj Auto on 2nd January, and has been approved as well. This hints that the updated Pulsar N150 might get connectivity features possibly including call and SMS alerts, ‘find my bike’ feature, music controls and perhaps even turn-by-turn navigation. The Bajaj Chetak is the first offering from the manufacturer to get a TFT screen with full-fledged connectivity features. So, the Pulsar N150 being a more budget-oriented bike, might get an LCD instrument console, maybe even a coloured one at that. If we are lucky, it might even get a TFT console, which will make it the first bike in the 150-160cc segment to have so.
The updated Bajaj Pulsar N150, with the addition of connectivity features and LCD instrument console might command a premium of Rs 4,000 - 5,000 over the current single-channel ABS variant, which costs Rs 1,17,677 (ex-showroom New Delhi) price tag. It will primarily rival the Yamaha FZ-S V3. It’s high time Bajaj offers this feature as that was the biggest grouch in the modern Pulsar. Speaking of which, expect the bikemaker to roll out updated new-generation Pulsar bikes with the same feature in the coming months.
