The Baleno will only get a 90PS 1.2-litre DualJet petrol engine, with an AMT replacing the earlier CVT. Plus, no more mild-hybrid tech

  • Facelifted Baleno MT and AMT return 22.35kmpl and 22.94kmpl, respectively.
  • Manual slightly less efficient than before, vice versa for AT.
  • Engine now only gets idle auto-start/stop
  • The 83PS 1.2-litre petrol with CVT axed.
  • Prices likely to start from Rs 6.5 lakh.

One big update to the facelifted Maruti Suzuki Baleno will be the availability of only a 90PS 1.2-litre DualJet petrol engine without mild-hybrid technology. While the 5-speed manual has been retained, the automatic variants will see the smooth CVT replaced by an AMT as a more cost-effective option.
