The electric scooter segment of the Indian two-wheeler market is quite a competitive one with new vehicles being launched every year. And now, the upcoming Lectrix NDuro has been spotted testing for the first time.
The NDuro electric scooter has aggressive styling with sharp design lines all over. The scooter looks quite big in size and it has a good road presence. The front apron’s design is quite unique with fang-like protrusions around the headlight. The pillion footrests look pretty flush-fitting and well integrated with the rest of the design. The rear-end of the scooter with the split grab rails and the sleek taillight tie up the EV’s looks in a cohesive manner. The crash guards towards the bottom of the front apron and under the floorboard are well integrated with the rest of the design.
The Lectrix NDuro has a hub-mounted motor and the battery pack is likely to be a non-removable unit. Lectrix EV’s BAAS battery subscription model could also be made available for this scooter as well. Under that model, the battery is available on a subscription basis. The suspension setup consists of a telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers. Judging by the spy shots, it looks like the scooter has 12-inch steel wheels at both ends.
In terms of features, the instrument console is likely to be an LCD unit and the scooter has all-LED lighting. There is a hook on the front apron for carrying your bags, which is a very convenient feature. The seat looks big enough to accommodate two full-sized adults. The floorboard space and the underseat storage space, based on the size of the seat, should be big enough for carrying everyday groceries and utilities.
The upcoming electric scooter from Lectrix EV will be launched on 3rd December 2024. Its rivals will be the Ola S1 X, Ather Rizta and the TVS iQube.
