Styling changes seem limited to a redesigned front grille and a black strip connecting the tail lamps.
Cabin could get new upholstery options, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and wireless phone charging.
Should get the same 105PS 1.5-litre petrol mild-hybrid engine with manual and automatic options.
Price-wise, it will be positioned between the Renault Triber and Mahindra Marazzo as before.
This will be a busy year for Maruti Suzuki as the carmaker has as many as eight models waiting to be introduced. One of them is the Ertiga MPV’s midlife refresh, which our sources suggest will arrive by March.
However, going by the images of the MPV on test, it seems not a lot may change. Design elements, including the bumpers, headlights, and tail lamps will possibly remain unaltered. But what could be changing, though, is the front grille, as the camouflage appears to be hiding a new mesh design. There’s also a black strip connecting the tail lamps.
We’ve yet to take a look inside, but we expect new interior themes and upholstery options, a larger 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a wireless charger to be added to the mix. The MPV should retain features like the coloured MID, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, and keyless entry with push-button start.
Passenger safety should be taken care of by dual airbags, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors.
Another thing that’s unlikely to change is the Ertiga’s 105PS 1.5-litre petrol mild-hybrid engine, paired with manual and automatic options. There’ll also be an optional factory-fitted CNG kit on offer.
Expect the facelifted Maruti Suzuki Ertiga to retail at a slight premium over the current-gen model, which is priced from Rs 8.12 lakh to Rs 10.85 lakh (ex-showroom, India). While it doesn’t have any direct rival in its segment, price-wise, it sits between the Renault Triber and Mahindra Marazzo.
