In an era where cleaner emissions is the number one priority, supercar manufacturers have no other choice but to bite the bullet and comply with regulations. Downsizing, electrification, and mechanical tweaks are what most supercar makers are up to. But not Ferrari.

The Prancing horse has just confirmed on its social media handle that its next performance car will get its iconic V12 without electrification. Sounds sweet, right? Even better is the fact that this new engine will be plonked in a brand-new Ferrari, which, as claimed by the Italian carmaker, would be ‘game-changing’.
We believe the ‘game-changing’ model mentioned by Ferrari is the Purosangue that was teased recently. What’s more, the open secret is that the car has entered production already.
However, there are reports online that suggest the Purosangue would get the 296 GTB’s 830PS 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 hybrid powertrain or even the V8. But hey, who wouldn’t like a buffet of various engine choices, especially when you have six, eight, and 12-cylinder options.
The Purosangue will be Ferrari’s first-ever SUV and you can read more about it here. As for which model will get this engine, only time will tell. So stay tuned.
