Built on the advanced Electric Modular Architecture (EMA) platform shared with JLR, the Avinya is a blend of bold, futuristic design and innovation. 

Promising an impressive real-world range of over 500 km, versatile drivetrain configurations, and a focus on luxury, the Avinya is the foundation for an entire family of upscale, tech-forward EVs. Expected to debut by 2026, the Avinya is a glimpse into Tata Motors’ vision of a forward future.

Skoda Vision 7S Concept: Skoda’s Vision!

Skoda has brought the Vision 7S Concept at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, showcasing the brand’s fresh ‘Modern Solid’ design language and an all-new logo. This futuristic 3-row electric SUV is built on the MEB platform, featuring a muscular stance, suicide doors, and a tech-savvy interior with two innovative cabin modes: Drive and Relax. 

Packed with features like a 14.6-inch infotainment display, augmented reality heads-up display, and ADAS, it combines luxury with practicality. Powered by an 89 kWh battery delivering over 600 km WLTP range, the Vision 7S previews Skoda’s ambitious electric future. With a production reveal expected later this year, this concept would be an interesting one to look out for.

Toyota Urban Cruiser BEV Concept: Incoming!

Toyota unveiled the Urban Cruiser BEV Concept at Auto Expo 2025. Essentially, this is a concept version of the Urban Cruiser, which has already been unveiled globally. It is a rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, which, coincidentally, was also unveiled at the Auto Expo 2025.

The Urban Cruiser BEV Concept features a dual-display setup, sunroof, sliding rear seats, ambient lighting, multiple airbags, a 360-degree camera, and ADAS. Internationally, it comes with 49 kWh and 61 kWh battery options, offering both FWD and AWD configurations, and delivers a range of up to 550 km. Expected to launch later this year, its price may start at ₹18 lakh (ex-showroom), with a premium of about ₹1 lakh anticipated over the Maruti e Vitara.

VinFast VF Wild

VinFast unveiled the all-electric VF Wild pickup concept at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, showcasing a rugged design with a flexible load bed aimed at young, eco-conscious customers. The VF Wild features a sleek headlight setup, muscular stance, powered-folding mid-gate for an extended load bed, and aerodynamic digital rearview mirrors. 

Measuring 5,324 mm in length, it rivals models like the Toyota Hilux. While interior and powertrain details remain undisclosed, it is expected to feature a premium cabin and a sizable battery, potentially with dual or quad motors. The production version is likely to debut later this year, competing with the Ford F-150 Lightning, Rivian R1T, and Tesla Cybertruck. While this one isn’t India-bound, it's still a very interesting concept to look at!

BONUS: Hyundai’s Rickshaw?

At the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, Hyundai introduced two interesting e-rickshaw concepts that could reshape last-mile mobility, the E3W and the E4W Concept. These futuristic vehicles, featuring a sleek, angular design with sharp lines, come with innovative touches like a gloss-black front screen that displays customizable greetings such as "Namaste" and futuristic polygonal ORVMs. 

Inside, there are interesting passenger amenities like sanitiser dispensers, umbrella holders, and adjustable fans, while the four-wheeler concept offers wheelchair access with its unique rear-end design.

Both models are very minimalist, the E4W concept has a four-dot steering wheel that we have seen on the Hyundai range of electric vehicles, and there are digital driver displays and convenient storage solutions.

Though still concepts, these e-rickshaws are envisioned as sustainable, adaptable solutions for specialised services like healthcare and emergency response. While their production is not confirmed, they hint at an exciting, accessible future for urban transport. These last-mile mobility solutions are engineered by Hyundai and will be manufactured by TVS in a joint venture.
