When it comes to buying new cars, we often stretch our budget to accommodate extra good-to-have features. And if you are planning to buy a new car without breaking your bank account, here are 5 cars with the best base variants that were launched in 2023.
Variant: SV

First on the list is the 2023 Honda City facelift. In terms of safety too, it comes equipped with four airbags along with standard safety features like ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, and rear parking sensors. Just like the City, the Honda Elevate also offers a good overall package in its entry-level variant. The Elevate’s base variant shares most of its parts, like the LED projector headlights, with its higher-spec variants. On the interior, you also get features like full automatic climate control, keyless entry with push button start/stop, and charging ports for front and rear passengers. It has a certified claimed range of 325 km and you can check out the Nexon EV’s base variant over here.

With the 2023 facelift, Tata not only gave the Harrier a refreshed look but also added various new features. It will be hard for you to differentiate it from higher-specced variants from the outside, as it features connected LED DRLs, LED projector headlights, and 17-inch alloy wheels. From the top-spec variants, you get features like a 7-inch digital driver’s display, fully automatic climate control, and all power windows. Take a look at the Harrier’s base variant over here.
Variant: Smart
Price: Rs 16.19 lakh (ex-showroom)
Similar to the facelifted Harrier, the 2023 Tata Safari comes with connected LED DRLs, projector headlights, and 17-inch alloy wheels. You will not get an infotainment system with the base variant, but it gets a 7-inch digital driver’s display, and safety tech includes six airbags along with usual features like ABS with EBD and electronic stability control.
