The upcoming year for Maruti Suzuki looks promising with the Indian carmaker’s expected entry into the growing EV segment, the launch of a much anticipated next generation hatchback and facelifts on models such as the S-Presso. Here’s what Maruti Suzuki has in store for you in 2024.

2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift

The Swift is poised for a generational upgrade with the launch of the fourth-gen 2024 Swift in India, which is already available in international markets. It features an updated design inside and out and is powered by a new 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine. The new-gen Swift is also expected to get a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, up to six airbags, and the inclusion of ADAS which was observed in recent test mules of the 2024 Swift in India.

Expected Launch: First half of 2024

2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire

The Dzire, which is the sub-4 metre sedan version of the popular Swift, is also expected to undergo a similar update as the new-gen model. Expect Dzire-specific design differences, a new 1.2-litre petrol engine, and updates to the features list aligning with those introduced in the 2024 Swift.

Maruti Suzuki S-Presso Facelift

The Maruti S-Presso, which has been on sale in India for over four years, is expected to undergo a facelift next year. Maruti Suzuki’s first EV, the eVX, is also expected to break cover in 2024. The Grand Vitara-sized EV has been spotted multiple times during testing and its launch could be brought forward from its earlier anticipated timeframe of 2025. It may feature a 60 kWh battery pack, providing an estimated range of around 550 km.
