The India-spec 2024 Hyundai Creta facelift will have different styling cues from the one sold in international markets
Hyundai India is likely to launch the 2024 Creta facelift in India on January 16, 2024. This will be the first redesign for the second-gen Creta, which went on sale in India in mid 2020. And as reported earlier, the India-spec Creta will have different styling cues from the one sold in global markets.Â
2024 Creta Exterior ChangesÂ
From our earlier sightings, the 2023 Creta will feature redesigned LED DRLs and headlights that give it a boxy appearance. Additionally, the slatted grille appears to feature more pronounced inserts for a butch aesthetic. In profile, don’t expect much changes to the sheet metal, except for new alloy wheels. Fresh set of split-LED tail lamps with dynamic turn indicators round off the overall design changes.Â
2024 Creta Interior ChangesÂ
While the 2024 Creta’s dashboard is yet to be snapped undisguised, it's anticipated to incorporate a host of new features such as a USB Type-C chargers for rear seat occupants, a 360-degree camera system, and the potential inclusion of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), hinted at by the radar on the bumper.Â

2024 Creta Engine OptionsÂ
Hyundai will leverage this facelift to introduce the more potent 160PS 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine into the Creta lineup, following the discontinuation of the 1.4-litre unit. Similar to the Verna, it's likely to be paired with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed DCT.Â
The current 1.5-litre diesel and naturally aspirated petrol engines are expected to continue without any alterations.
2024 Creta Expected Price And RivalsÂ
Given the substantial updates anticipated, it's expected that the new Creta might come with a significant price increase compared to the current model, which is priced at Rs 10.87 lakh (ex-showroom). It should continue to lock horns with Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Honda Elevate, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, and MG Astor.
