Maruti Suzuki recently reduced the prices of the Jimny by a whopping Rs 2 lakh. Along with this price cut, Maruti Suzuki launched the Thunder Edition of Jimny at Rs 10.74 lakh (ex-showroom). The Thunder Edition features a certain set of accessories as standard which was earlier offered as premium and in this read, we will be detailing the Thunder Edition in 9 images.
Up front, you will immediately notice the accented garnish and mountain-themed graphics on the bonnet, distinguishing it from the regular Jimny. It also gets a silver-finished front skid plate that complements the Thunder Edition theme.
Coming to the side, you will observe similar garnish treatment on the ORVMs as well as on the front and rear fenders. It also features mountain-themed graphics along the body, which elevates the Jimny’s overall rugged look. The Thunder Edition also gets door visors, door cladding, and roof bars which can be opted for as a part of accessory package.

Stepping inside the Thunder Edition, you will firstly notice the door sill guard and graphic treatment on the door pads. It boasts tan-coloured accents on the seat upholstery and comes with an interior styling kit that includes tan-coloured grips on grab handles along with floor mats.
The Jimny Thunder Edition packs similar features and comes equipped with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple Carplay/Android Auto, automatic climate control, cruise control, keyless entry, a 4-speaker audio system, and connected car tech.
On the Safety front, it gets six airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), electronic stability control, brake assist, and ISOFIX mounts for the child seats.
The Thunder Edition is powered by the same 1.5-litre petrol engine that puts out 150 PS and 134 Nm, paired with either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission. It’s only available with a 4x4 drive system which features a manually switchable low-ratio 4x4 mode as well.
