Hyundai India has announced that the facelifted Grand i10 Nios hatch and Aura sedan will be launched on January 20. Both models have been unveiled ahead of the expo and pre-launch bookings are underway. As part of their first midlife update, both models will get cosmetic and important safety feature updates.

With the upcoming facelift, both models will have a unique identity, thanks to their contrasting fascias. The i10 Nios gets an evolution of its existing design, while the Aura gets a new two-piece grille. Apart from that, they will get redesigned wheels; and in the case of the Nios, connected tail lamps as well.

To take a closer look at the design changes made, check out our in-depth unveiling story of both models in the following links:

No major changes have been done to the overall cabin design. But both models now get important safety updates, with the introduction of up to six airbags (four as standard), electronic stability control (ESC), tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), hill hold control and automatic headlights.

Underneath the hood, the 1.2-litre petrol engine remains unchanged. It puts out 83PS in petrol-only models and 69PS if you pick up the CNG model. A five-speed manual comes as standard, while the petrol-only version gets the option of a five-speed AMT as well. The status of the 1-litre turbo-petrol engine, if it will be introduced or not, still remains a mystery.
