Nissan Magnite facelift will be launched on October 4, 2024
It will feature tweaked exterior styling including upgraded lighting elements
Likely to get an updated interior as well with a larger touchscreen and more features
Expected to retain the same engine options
Nissan recently announced that they will be launching four new cars in the Indian market. The first in queue is the Magnite facelift which is set to be launched on October 4, 2024. The Magnite was first launched in India in December 2020, and apart from minor updates here and there, it hasn’t received any significant upgrades ever since.
Here’s what we are expected from the facelifted iteration:
The Magnite facelift was spotted testing a couple of months back, but not much was decoded as it was under heavy camouflage. However, we know that the facelifted version will get the same silhouette albeit with certain cosmetic tweaks to the exterior. It is likely to get a restyled bumper, grille, lighting elements and alloy wheels.
We expect Nissan to not change a lot in the interior, but certain tweaks and upgrades will be made to keep the subcompact SUV relevant and at par with its competitors. It will likely get a larger touchscreen infotainment and a digital driver display. Addition of six airbags, probably on higher-end variants, is also expected.
Other features on board should include six airbags, auto-dimming IRVM, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ambient lighting, a JBL sound system, keyless entry, an air purifier, reverse parking camera, and a wireless phone charger.

Under the hood, we expect things to be unchanged. It will get the 1-litre naturally aspirated engine which makes 72 PS and 96 Nm and a more potent 1-litre turbo-petrol engine which churns out 100 PS and up to 160 Nm. The former can be had with a 5-speed MT and a 5-speed AMT, while the latter can be paired with a 5-speed MT and a CVT gearbox.
The Magnite facelift will likely come at a minor premium over the current model which is priced from Rs 5.99 lakh to Rs 11.27 lakh (ex-showroom). It will take on SUVs like the Hyundai Venue, Maruti Fronx, Hyundai Exter, Tata Punch, Toyota Taisor, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Kia Sonet, Renault Kiger, Citroen Basalt and Mahindra XUV 3XO.
