Mark your calendars for March 11, 2024 as this is the date when the Hyundai Creta N Line will be launched in India. If you are unaware of the “N Line” name, it is a sportier division of Hyundai featuring minor mechanical and major cosmetic tweaks over the standard models. While the 2024 Creta facelift was recently launched with India-specific design treatment, the sportier N Line version will offer further enhancements. Here’s everything you need to know about it.

Design

Let's start with the design of the 2024 Creta N Line, which was revealed when it was spotted uncamouflaged during filming. It will receive a treatment reminiscent of the i20 N Line and Venue N Line, sporting a revised front grille, tweaked bumper, and updated skid plates with red inserts, giving it an overall sportier look. These red highlights extend to the brake callipers, complemented by sporty 18-inch alloys. Moving to the rear, changes include a tweaked bumper with a dual-tip exhaust.

Interior

From the earlier spy shots, we got a glimpse of the Creta N Line’s interior, which adopts an all-black cabin theme. While the overall dashboard design remains similar to the regular Creta, it includes exclusive elements such as the N Line-specific steering wheel and gear knob. Additionally, red stitching adorns the cabin, enhancing its sporty appeal.

Features

The 2024 Creta N Line is expected to get the same premium features as the regular Creta, like the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, connected car tech, a Bose sound system, wireless phone charger and a powered driver’s seat.

Its safety kit will include six airbags, ABS with EBD, a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, electronic parking brake with auto hold and ADAS.

Engine Options

Don't expect significant upgrades in the powertrain department of the Creta N Line, as the global 'N’ performance models. It will come with the same 160PS 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission as the regular Creta, but we expect it to add the choice of a 6-speed manual for the driving purists. Following the pattern of other N Line models, revisions to suspension and steering geometry for better dynamics are expected to enhance the driving experience.

Expected Price

The Creta N Line is expected to command a premium over the standard Hyundai Creta turbo-petrol variant which is priced at Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom), while a manual variant might be slightly more affordable. Upon launch, it will rival the likes of the Kia Seltos GT Line and VW Taigun GT, while serving a sportier alternative to the MG Astor and Skoda Kushaq.
