Here’s When The Next-gen 2024 Skoda Superb Will Break Cover

Skoda has announced that it will be taking the wraps off the next-gen Superb in November 2023. The timeline marks 90 years since the first version of this model debuted globally. Skoda has also given an in-depth overview of the next-gen Superb’s interior features, technical specifications, and engine options. Here’s all you can look forward to:

2024 Skoda Superb Engine Options

The Skoda Superb will be offered with a raft of turbo-petrol, diesel, and plug-in hybrid powertrains. The hybrid will get a six-speed DSG, while the rest will be offered with a 7-speed unit. Here’s a brief overview of its technical specifications:

The plug-in hybrid will also boast a 25.7kWh battery pack and that can help it do over 100km on electric power alone. 

In India, the Superb came with the 2-litre turbo-petrol engine with front-wheel drive and the next-gen model could get the same. That said, we wouldn’t discount the plug-in hybrid model being introduced here either. 

2024 Skoda Superb Body Style And Dimensions 

Like before, the 2024 Skoda Superb will continue to be offered as a estate and sedan. If Skoda decides to bring it here, it will come here as a sedan only. Though the Superb’s wheelbase has been tinkered with, its length and height have now gone up. That said, it’s a wee bit narrower than before.

2024 Skoda Superb Interior And Features 

Skoda is yet to showcase the Superb’s interior, but the star of the show will be the presence of a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. And for easier operation, there will be a mix of physical and touch-based controls to operate its features. The gear lever will now be located on the steering column for easier access. We expect the design and orientation of the dashboard to be nearly identical to the 2024 Kodiaq, whose cabin you can take a look at in these spy shots. 

Skoda is known for its small ‘Simply Clever’ bits, that give an extra bit of convenience. And in the Superb there are plenty. Few of these include an electronically controlled load cover in the estate and a tablet holder on the rear centre armrest. 

2024 Skoda Superb India Launch

An India launch is yet to be determined, and we don’t expect it before 2024. Once here, it will continue to rival the Toyota Camry and will be an affordable alternative to luxury sedans such as the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Audi A4, and BMW 3 Series.
