Here’s Your Look At The Japanese-Spec 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift Mid Variant

Suzuki has unveiled the next-gen 2024 Swift in Japan, which gets an updated design, new features, and the introduction of a new powertrain. It will be launched in India soon, and Maruti has started testing it on our shores. So here’s a look at the mid variant of the Japanese-spec 2024 Swift.

Compared to the base model, the mid-spec variant gets a chrome surround to its grille, adding a touch of bling. It is equipped with LED headlights, but you will notice the absence of fog lamps. It also gets silver skid plates as opposed to black in the entry-level model and sits on monotone alloys. Keen-eyed viewers will also see that the turn indicators are mounted on the ORVMs as opposed to the fender in the base model.

Full interior cabin details of the mid-spec variant are yet to be revealed, but you can expect it to feature steering-mounted controls, a multi-speaker sound system, and a touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto/Apple CarPlay connectivity. The mid-spec variant also gets front parking sensors.

Powering the 2024 Swift will be the new 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine paired with a CVT. It will replace the current four-cylinder unit and is expected to produce the same power figures as the one being replaced. When launched in India, you can expect it to be available with both manual and automatic transmission choices.

The 2024 Swift is expected to command a premium over the current model, which starts from Rs 5.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and you can find more details about the new Swift over here. It will rival the likes of the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, Tata Punch, and Renault Triber.
