Hero Xtreme 210R is an upcoming streetfighter from the brand, and the design patent of the same has been revealed. Judging by the design, we now have a good idea of what to expect from this upcoming naked, and what it could offer.
The upcoming bike has an aggressive and sporty looking design, which shares many similarities with what we have already seen on the Hero Xtreme lineup. It features a sharp looking headlight section, flanked by inverted forks, likely to come with a golden finish like we have seen on the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V. The fuel tank looks quite sharp and sleek, similar to what we have seen on the Karizma XMR.
Engine and performance wise, the design patent makes it clear that the bike will feature a liquid-cooled engine. There have been many reports online which suggest that the bike could be getting a 250cc engine, but we don’t think so.
Hero already has a 210cc liquid-cooled engine which is being currently used only in the Karizma XMR. The upcoming XPulse 210 could also feature the same. That said, it’s highly unlikely that Hero will develop a new 250cc engine just for the upcoming naked bike, since it might not be economically feasible. On the Karizma, the 210cc engine makes 25.5PS and 20.4Nm.
The bike will be built on a trellis frame as the Karizma XMR, and will get a suspension setup that comprises an inverted fork and monoshock. Features-wise, we expect the bike to come with the same digital console as the Karizma XMR, that offers smartphone connectivity and related features like call/SMS alert and turn-by-turn navigation.
Overall, the design makes it look quite good and we can’t wait to see the bike in person. Hero is currently planning on unveiling the bike at EICMA 2024. We expect the bike to be launched sometime mid-2025, with an expected price around Rs 1.7 lakh (ex-showroom). The Hero Xtreme 210R will go up against other naked bikes in the market such as the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, Bajaj Pulsar NS200 and the KTM 200 Duke.
