Quick News Highlights:
- The Honda CB1000 Hornet has been launched in the UK
- The bike’s pricing strikes a fine balance between performance and value for money
- It is available in two variants: Standard and SP
Honda has launched the 2025 CB1000 Hornet in the UK and is priced at just 8,999 GBP (Rs 9,85,415 approximately), while the SP variant costs 9,999 GBP (Rs 10,94,918 approximately). Honestly, this is fantastic pricing from the Japanese manufacturer and for a bike of that capacity to be available at such a price point is an absolute bargain. The Hornet gets four colour options: Matte Iridium Grey Metallic, Grand Prix Red, Pearl Glare White and Matte Ballistic Black Metallic (exclusive for the SP variant).
The twin headlight setup along with the chiselled, sharp-looking fuel tank design makes the streetfighter look very aggressive. That said, the design will polarise quite a lot since it has elements from both the Ducati Streetfighter V4 and the yesteryear Kawasaki Z1000. In fact, we’ve even read about people comparing its design to the TVS Apache RTR 310. The bike is powered by a 1,000cc, 4-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine producing 151PS at 11,000rpm and 104Nm at 9,000rpm. In the SP variant, the motor produces 157PS and 107Nm. The Honda CB1000 Hornet comes paired to a 6-speed transmission system with a slipper clutch while the quickshifter is available as standard in the SP variant.
At the front, both variants get a fully adjustable 41mm Showa inverted fork and at the rear, the standard variant gets a Showa monoshock while the SP variant gets a fully adjustable Ohlins monoshock. In the braking department, the standard variant gets dual 310mm floating discs with a radially mounted four-piston Nissin caliper while the SP variant gets dual 310mm floating discs with a radially mounted four piston Brembo Stylema caliper. At the rear, both variants get a 240mm single disc with a single piston caliper from Nissin.

The CB1000 Hornet gets a five-inch TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation. Other features include four riding modes: Rain, Standard, Sport and User along with wheelie control and traction control. The CB1000 Hornet has never made its way to our shores in any of its iterations till now. But with the 2025 model providing such a fine balance of performance and bargain pricing, Honda has us wishing over here that it can find a way to bring the big capacity streetfighter to our shores soon.
