The Apex Edition was previously seen on the Honda Elevate and has now made its way to the City sedan. Just days after its launch the City Apex Edition has reached dealerships across the country. It is based on the mid-spec V and VX trims and brings in a bunch of accessories and finishes to enhance and make the variants more appealing. In this article, we take you through the details of the City Apex Edition in real-world images:
Design-wise, the changes are mostly aesthetic-based and minor tweaks. Up front, you get projector headlights with LED DRLs, that in typical City fashion are connected by a chrome bar. It can be seen with a blacked-out grille and fog lamps for a contracting look.
It sports 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, and there is an Apex Edition badge on the front fender. The special edition badging can be seen at the rear as well.
The City showcased in these images is in the Platinum White Pearl colour theme. However, the special edition can also be opted for in Obsidian Blue Pearl, Radiant Red Metallic, Lunar Silver Metallic, Golden Brown Metallic and Meteoroid Gray Metallic shades.
The major changes are inside! The special edition features a beige interior trim, and you get a premium leatherette finish on the instrument panel, console garnish, and door padding as well.
Furthermore, you get tastefully curated ambient lighting running into the instrument panel and door pockets with seven colour options. To denote its exclusivity, you get Apex Edition seat covers and cushions as well.
There are no mechanical changes under the hood. The City Apex Edition continues to get the familiar 1.5-litre petrol engine which makes 121 PS and 145 Nm. The engine can be had with either a 6-speed manual or a CVT gearbox.
The City Apex edition comes at a premium of Rs 25,000 over the V and VX variants, which means it is priced between Rs 13.30 lakh and Rs 15.62 lakh (ex-showroom). The overall price range of the City is from Rs 13.05 lakh to Rs 16.55 lakh. It competes with the likes of the Volkswagen Virtus, Hyundai Verna, and Skoda Slavia.
Want a more premium interior in your mid-spec City? Then you should consider the Apex Edition.
