Honda has finally taken the wraps of its latest neo-retro cafe racer motorcycle, the Hawk 11. Based on the same engine platform as the Honda Africa Twin, the Hawk 11 is a much needed cafe racer addition to the Japanese bike-makers portfolio.

The Honda Hawk 11 perfectly encapsulates the cafe racer stance and appeal. The most prominent thing in its design has to be the front rocket style semi-fairing which is complemented by the circular LED headlight with DRLs, curved windscreen, circular rear-view mirrors, and the old school turn indicators completing the neo-retro look. It also slightly reminds us of the Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RR. The low-set handlebars and sculpted fuel-tank on the Hawk 11 add the much-needed cafe racer edge to the motorcycle.

Powering the Hawk 11 is the same 1082cc twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine as the Africa Twin, producing 100PS of max power and 103Nm. However, we can expect it to perform differently from its adventure sibling. The Hawk 11 comes with a six-speed gearbox and a dual clutch transmission can be expected as well. In terms of electronics the bike comes packed with cruise control, throttle by wire system, selectable torque control, and wheelie control.

The Honda Hawk 11 is underpinned by a semi double cradle steel frame and suspended by USD front forks and monoshock rear suspension, the set up will be tweaked accordingly for a more cafe racer focused performance. Stopping the bike is a twin disc setup with Nissin radial calipers paired to dual-channel ABS.

The bike also features an LCD instrument cluster and multiple ride modes.
More details about the spec of the bike are expected to be revealed soon. Honda is unlikely to launch the bike here in India as the high-end cafe racer genre isn't very popular here.
