Honda has launched the RS-X Repsol Edition in Malaysia. This Japanese underbone is limited to just 5000 examples and before you get dreamy-eyed about this Honda, it is unlikely to come to Indian shores.
The Honda RS-X Repsol Edition, as the name suggests, comes draped in the Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) MotoGP livery. This paintjob is matched with the HRC orange-painted alloy wheels. There’s also a big ‘Repsol’ sticker on the side panels and at the front.
While the colours scream the Japanese bikemaker’s MotoGP prowess, there are no mechanical upgrades on the limited edition model. The Honda RS-X Repsol Edition continues with the same 149.16cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine producing 15.8PS and 13.6Nm, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. For reference, the Aerox makes 15PS and 13.9Nm.
The Honda RS-X Repsol Edition uses a telescopic fork and a preload-adjustable monoshock. It runs on 17-inch wheels at both ends and uses disc brakes at both ends, aided by a single-channel ABS unit.
Honda Malaysia has launched the RS-X Repsol Edition at RM 9,550 or Rs 1.77 lakh, which is little over Rs 7,000 above the standard model. While this product is definitely not heading to India, we still have the Honda Grazia Repsol Edition and the Dio Repsol Edition if you are a HRC fan. But if big scooters are your thing, the Yamaha Aerox 155 remains the best bet.
