Length- Even though the new Hyundai Verna has grown in length, by 95mm to be exact, it still is the second shortest in the segment after the Maruti Ciaz. The new 2023 Honda City has the maximum length of the lot, with a footprint of 4,583mm.
Width- Hyundai has given the new Verna 36mm more width, which makes it the widest vehicle in the segment now. The next closest thing is a tie between the VW Virtus and Skoda Slavia siblings with a width of 1,752mm. Discarding the outgoing Verna, the Maruti Ciaz is the narrowest of the lot.
Height- The tallest of the group is a tie between the VW Virtus and Skoda Slavia at 1,507mm. The 2023 Hyundai Verna is actually the shortest of the set in terms of height, which is unchanged in comparison to the previous-gen Verna.
Wheelbase- The new Verna triumphs in the wheelbase department with a dimension of 2,670mm, which is 70mm more than the previous-gen model. The shortest wheelbase of 2,600mm is sported by the 2023 Honda City.
Boot Space- With 528 litres of boot space, the 2023 Verna has the largest stowage capacity amongst its rivals. On the other side is the 2023 Honda City, which, at 506 litres, offers the least space.

So, the new Verna, save for its height, has undoubtedly grown in size. It even boasts the most width and wheelbase in the segment now, but how these dimensions translate into real-world space on the inside is something we’ll be able to confirm only when we get our hands on it, so stay tuned.
