The alloy wheel design appears to be the same as the model spied in South Korea.
New spy images also hint that it will have the same silhouette as the existing model.
Exterior changes will likely include a larger front grille, a new set of square-shaped LED headlights, and vertically stacked connected LED tail lamps.
The dashboard is expected to be the same as the Creta facelift, albeit with a different colour scheme.
Could get new features like dual integrated 10.25-inch screens, dual-zone AC, and ADAS.
Expected to be launched in the second half of 2024, from Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Hyundai Alcazar was first introduced in India in 2021 and since then, it is due for a major update, which is expected to come around in the second half of 2024. Recently, we got our hands on the latest spy shots of the Alcazar facelift doing high altitude testing in Himachal Pradesh, India. Here’s what we could make out of these new spy shots.
The latest spy image clearly reveals the redesigned alloy wheels on the test mule, which appear identical to those spotted in South Korea. Despite the heavy camouflage covering the SUV, we can still discern that it will maintain the same silhouette as the existing model.
The changes on the Alcazar facelift are expected to follow the design cues of the recently facelifted Hyundai Creta. Based on previous sightings, the updated Alcazar will likely feature a larger front grille with different inserts to differentiate from the Creta, a new set of square-shaped LED headlights, and vertically stacked connected LED tail lamps.
Though the interior of the 2024 Alcazar is yet to be revealed, we expect it to look the same as the facelifted Hyundai Creta, though in a different cabin theme and upholstery.
The 2024 Alcazar will likely carry the same equipment list as the Creta, including two 10.25-inch digital displays (one for instrumentation and the other for infotainment), dual-zone AC, a panoramic sunroof, six airbags, and a 360-degree camera.
On the safety front, the Alcazar will likely also get a full suite of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) like adaptive cruise control, auto emergency braking, and lane keep assist. Its safety kit will also include electronic stability control (ESC), hill hold assist, and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
Hyundai will likely retain the same engine and transmission options with the Alcazar facelift. The specifications are detailed below:
Engine |
1.5-litre turbo-petrol |
1.5-litre diesel |
Power |
160 PS |
116 PS |
Torque |
253 Nm |
250 Nm |
Transmission |
6-speed MT, 7-speed DCT |
6-speed MT, 6-speed AT |
The Hyundai Alcazar facelift is expected to be priced from Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom). It will continue to rival the MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari, and 6/7-seater variants of the Mahindra XUV700.
