Hyundai has just come out with a new Adventure Edition for its hot-selling Creta compact SUV. The Hyundai Creta Adventure edition packs a new exterior hue matching the inserts inside the cabin, along with one new feature addition as well.
So we pit it against the recently launched special edition of the Volkswagen Taigun GT Edge Limited Collection and the top-spec Kia Seltos X Line, comparing their design, powertrains, features and price. Let’s start:
All three cars get a few design quirks to set them apart from their standard models. The Kia Seltos X Line is offered only in one hue: Xclusive Matte Graphite. The elements which are chrome in the other variants have been blacked out save for the chrome trim under the window sill. It also gets a sporty bumper design with a black skid plate, however, the cabin is similar to the other variants.
The Taigun GT Edge’s design changes over the standard variants are limited to its paint scheme which now gets two new colour options – Carbon Steel Matt and Deep Black – which are contrasted by red brake calipers for a sporty look. Changes to the cabin are limited to aluminium pedals and red stitching on the leatherette upholstery.

Hyundai introduced the Exter’s Ranger Khaki green hue with the Creta Adventure Edition. That is complemented by blacked out elements on the grille and red brake calipers. There are other standard exterior shades also available, while on the inside, the whole cabin has been blacked out with sage green inserts splashed on the AC vents and seat upholstery. You get Adventure branding on the seat cushions and floor mats as well.

All three cars are well equipped, with large infotainment and driver screens, though the Taigun gets a TFT display and not a fully digital driver’s unit.
The Kia Seltos is the only one to boast features like a heads-up display, dual-zone climate control, and ADAS features.
The Hyundai Creta packs a dual dash cam, a feature exclusive to this Adventure Edition.
The VW Taigun misses out on a 360-degree camera and proper tyre pressure monitoring system, something that both the other cars pack. It also gets a smaller single-pane sunroof
