Facelifted i10 Nios to get revised front and rear end styling and refreshed interiors.
Will be available with cruise control, electronic stability control and up to six airbags as an option for the first time.
Only offered with a 1.2-litre petrol engine with manual, CNG and automatic variants for now.
Prices are expected to start at Rs 5.7 lakh (ex-showroom).
Hyundai has given the Grand i10 Nios its first update since the all-new generation of the i10 was launched in 2019. The facelifted hatchback has revised aesthetics inside out and an array of new features, especially on the safety front. Hyundai has opened the order books for the upcoming hatchback for a token amount of Rs 11,000. We expect it to be launched in the coming weeks at prices starting at Rs 5.7 lakh (ex-showroom).
At the front, only the front bumper assembly is new in the 2023 i10 Nios parts-wise, but it makes all the difference. The blacked-out grille is now almost full-width and looks sporty. It’s flanked by sharply styled body-coloured trim pieces that house the new daytime running lights (DRLs).
The view from the profile is largely the same as before, but the hatchback gets snazzy redesigned alloy wheels. It also gets a new Spark Green paint shade, alongside five other single-tone options: Polar White, Titan Grey, Typhoon Silver, Teal Blue and Fiery Red. The green and white paint shades will also be offered in dual-tone options with a contrast black roof.

The designers have done a lot more to the rear, where the i10 Nios now gets new connected LED taillights, a restyled tailgate, and redesigned bumper with a faux diffuser-like trim element at the base.
When you get into the driver’s seat, you’ll immediately notice that the funky part-digital instrument cluster has been replaced with analogue dials with a 3.5-inch multi-info display (MID). The 8-inch touchscreen and automatic climate controls are unchanged, but the seat upholstery is new and the interior gets footwell lighting as well.
Also, for the first time in this segment, you get to choose from three interior colour options: Black/Grey and all-black with red or green inserts.
With the facelift, the Grand i10 Nios gets cruise control for the first time. It’s also equipped with four airbags (dual front and front side airbags) as standard, with the top-spec variant boasting curtain airbags. Other new safety features include a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), hill hold control, stability control (ESC) and vehicle stability management (VSM) and automatic headlights.
Other features such as keyless entry, push-button start, leather steering wheel, parking camera and the aforementioned infotainment touchscreen will be carried forward from the existing model.
The Grand i10 Nios will get an 83PS naturally aspirated 1.2-litre petrol engine paired with a five-speed manual transmission as standard. It’ll get the option of an AMT automatic, alongside a manual-CNG option with a 69PS output on CNG.
It remains to be seen if the sporty-looking i10 Nios will get a Turbo variant with the 100PS 1-litre turbo petrol engine under the bonnet, like before.
The facelifted Hyundai Grand i10 Nios will go up against the Maruti Swift, Tata Punch and Renault Triber.
