Since Hyundai introduced the N Line series, with the i20 N Line in September 2021, it has sold over 22,000 units (combined) of the i20 N Line and Venue N Line in India. For the unknown, N Line is basically the performance oriented division of Hyundai in India. They have styling tweaks and minor mechanical changes, all to help you put a smile on your face.
According to Tarun Garg, COO at Hyundai Motor India, these N Line cars are not just about selling in numbers. They're about making customers happy, especially the younger customers. Interestingly, about 13 percent of the N Line buyers are women, which is more than usual in India's car market.
The recently launched Creta N Line is the sportier version of the standard Creta which is already a big hit in India and as with its other N Line siblings will also sell in good numbers, we reckon. It gets cosmetic updates with red accents and elements used in the exterior and interior. And like other cars, mechanical tweaks have been made for an engaging drive.

Now, a bit about the N Line brand in general. There are two types of performance Hyundai cars to set context: N Line and the full blown N. The N in its name comes from Hyundai's research center in Namyang, Korea and the famous Nürburgring race track in Germany. The N cars have powerful turbo-petrol engines pushed to their limits with max performance, tuned suspension, and distinctive design elements inside and out. Whereas with the N Line, you get styling tweaks, the same powertrain option as the standard model and minor mechanical changes only.
