New Tucson is available with 2-litre petrol and diesel automatic powertrains.
Diesel unit gets an all-wheel drive option.
Offered in Premium and Signature trim levels.
Key features include ADAS, panoramic sunroof and dual-zone climate control.
Expected to be priced from Rs 25 lakh onwards.
Ahead of the Hyundai Tucson’s launch on August 10, display and test drive vehicles have begun reaching dealerships. A new document has revealed that the carmaker has received over 3,000 orders for the fourth-generation Tucson just 15 days since the commencement of bookings.
The 2022 Tucson is expected to be priced upwards of Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom) and is offered in standard Premium and top-spec Signature variants.
The all-new Hyundai Tucson is being imported as completely knocked-down (CKD) kits that will be assembled locally. Given the high demand, the SUVs booked pre-launch will likely be delivered in a phased manner. Hyundai will disclose the delivery timeline officially at the Tucson’s launch event; expect the first units of the Tucson to begin reaching buyers by early September.
Hyundai’s flagship SUV is available with two powertrain options: a 156PS 2-litre naturally aspirated (NA) petrol engine and a 186PS 2-litre turbo diesel unit. The petrol engine is paired with a standard 6-speed automatic, while the diesel gets an 8-speed auto ’box on both variants, available with an optional all-wheel drive (AWD) system in the top-spec trim level.
The 2022 Tucson debuts advanced driver assistance and active safety (ADAS) features for Hyundai in India. These include adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, forward collision avoidance, blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert. In addition, it’s equipped with a panoramic sunroof, heated, ventilated and powered front seats, and dual-zone AC.
