Offers 2 exterior and 1 interior colour options to choose from.

BMW has opened the bookings for the recently revealed new 5 Series LWB, which is all set to be launched on July 24. After the 3 Series and the 7 Series, it is the third BMW to get a long-wheelbase (LWB) version. The new-gen 5 Series features an updated exterior design, a refreshed interior design and even more tech over the outgoing model. The new 5 Series comes in a single variant and two hues to choose from.
At the moment, BMW has revealed the two colour options that will be offered with the new 5 Series: M Carbonic Black Metallic and Sparkling Copper Grey Metallic. The black metallic shade makes the 5 series look sporty and also gives it a stealthy appearance, while the grey hue makes it look more elegant and sophisticated. We do expect BMW to bring in more colour options down the road
To suit your taste, BMW will also be offering two wheel options: 18-inch 10-spoke rims with taller profile tyres or a more nicer looking 19-inch 14-spoke rims. We feel you should pick the latter as it gives the sedan a better stance.
BMW will be offering the 5 Series in a grey / brown coloured upholstery. The cabin of the upcoming 5 Series is completely made up of vegan materials. It features a generous use of ambient lighting across the dashboard. The interior now feels more modern and premium than before.

The key features include a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, a 14.9-inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay, ambient lighting, wireless phone charging, a heads-up display, gesture control and an 18-speaker Bowers & Wilkins surround sound system.
In terms of safety, we expect it to get a tyre pressure monitor, a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control, multiple airbags and some ADAS features.
The BMW 5 Series LWB will initially be available in a single 530Li M Sport variant. The aforementioned variant is a petrol variant which gets a 2-litre turbo-petrol engine, teamed with mild-hybrid tech, to produce 258 PS. The engine offered will be attached to BMW’s 8-speed automatic transmission and will drive the rear wheels. We expect BMW to bring in a diesel variant as well, for the 5 Series.
The upcoming 5 Series is expected to be priced from around Rs 75 lakh (ex-showroom). After being launched, it will compete against the Audi A6, Volvo S90 and the upcoming new-generation Mercedes-Benz E-Class.
