Prices for the Isuzu V-Cross pickup truck have been hiked by up to Rs 3.97 lakh.
In a bid to make the V-Cross safer, Isuzu is now offering a host of electronic aids like traction control, electronic stability control, and hill start and hill descent with the manual variants of the pickup truck. These were previously limited to the automatic variants.
Furthermore, safety for the rear occupants has also been bolstered with 3-point seat belts for all passengers being made standard along with respective load sensors and seat belt warning.
To give the pickup truck a fresh look, the Japanese carmaker has added a few new styling cues to the V-Cross, but these are limited to the top-spec Z Prestige trim. It instantly stands out from the standard V-Cross, thanks to the dark grey elements on the revised front bumper, fog lamp surrounds, grille and roof rail.
It also gets matte black alloy wheels as well as blacked-out ORVMs which compliment the dark treatment given to the rest of the parts. Even the head and tailights get a smoked garnish finish, rounding off the dark theme treatment. If the V-Cross was already a rather aggressive and commanding vehicle, these styling changes further add to that demeanor and up its rugged appeal.

There is one other change, which isn’t part of the styling revisions, and that is an improved recline angle for the rear seat. Isuzu claims it improves the comfort, but that is something we’ll only be able to confirm once we test it ourselves.
No changes have been made to the existing features list and even the powertrain, as it continues with its 163PS/360Nm 1.9-litre turbo-diesel powertrain. There are both manual and automatic transmissions available with both 4x2 (AT only) and 4x4 drivetrain options.

Bookings for the updated Isuzu V-Cross are already open, and deliveries will commence soon as well. It continues to be a affordable alternative to the Toyota Hilux, while its Hi-Lander guise has no immediate rival in the country.
