January 2025 promises to be action-packed, with several highly anticipated launches, unveilings, and market arrivals on the horizon, catering to everyone from EV enthusiasts to SUV-loving Indians. Whether you’re in the market for an eco-friendly EV or a futuristic convertible, January 2025 offers plenty of choices. Here’s a closer look at all the upcoming cars that are set to debut and launch in January 2025.
India’s favourite SUV will get its green brother, the Hyundai Creta EV, which is all set to make its grand debut at the Bharat Mobility Expo. While the specifications are not out, we expect a 400 km range with multiple battery options.
Expected features include Level-2 ADAS, dual screens (likely to be the same or larger than standard Creta), and refreshed styling that distinguishes it from the ICE model. Perfect for buyers seeking an eco-friendly SUV without compromising on practicality.
Maruti Suzuki’s first all-electric compact SUV, the e Vitara, will make its India debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo. Built on the HEARTECT-e platform, globally it offers two battery options — 49 kWh and 61 kWh — expected to deliver a range of up to 600 km.
Packed with features like Level-2 ADAS, dual integrated screens, and a 360-degree camera, the e Vitara is set to compete with the Tata Curvv EV, Mahindra BE 6 and Hyundai Creta EV, making it a key player in the EV market.
The legendary Tata Sierra is back, and this time, it’s expected to be better than ever! Set to debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, the Sierra will be available in both ICE and EV versions.

The EV variant is expected to feature a 60-80 kWh battery pack with a claimed range exceeding 500 km. The EV will likely have a single electric motor with different power outputs based on variants, while the ICE variant is expected to be equipped with Tata’s new 1.5-litre 4-cylinder turbo-petrol engine delivering 170 PS and 280 Nm. A 2.0-litre diesel engine, shared with other Tata SUVs, might also be on offer. Just like other shared Tata EV and ICE cars, expect the Sierra ICE and EV to boast different styling elements to set them apart.
The Tata Harrier EV is finally expected to make its highly anticipated debut at the 2025 Auto Expo, bringing the brand’s midsize SUV into the electric era.
The Harrier EV will likely feature a dual-motor setup for AWD capability, with entry-level variants potentially offering a single-motor configuration. While specific details remain under wraps, it is expected to pack a larger battery than the Nexon EV and Curvv EV, delivering a range of 450-550 km and it will retain the overall design language of the ICE Harrier but with EV-specific styling cues.
The Mercedes-Benz G 580, an electric rendition of the legendary G-Class, retains its off-road DNA with added EV perks. It features a 116 kWh battery pack, four motors generating 587 PS and a monstrous 1,164 Nm of torque.
Off-road upgrades include better water wading and even a tank-turn feature where you can do donuts on the same spot. Whether you’re exploring rugged trails or navigating urban jungles, the G 580 proves the G-Class can go electric without losing its iconic appeal.
The Mercedes-Maybach EQS 680 Night Series is the epitome of luxury EVs. Sporting a darkened design package and premium finishes, it blends Maybach elegance with cutting-edge electric tech.
It offers a whopping 690 PS, a 560 km range, and an opulent interior, making it a dream SUV for those who demand luxury and performance, albeit in a dark avatar.
Screen-screen everywhere. What will you see?
The Mercedes-Benz Concept CLA showcases the future of the next-gen CLA, combining futuristic design and technology. It features single and dual-motor setups and an 800-volt architecture for high performance. Inside, the MBUX Superscreen spans the entire dashboard, making sure that you don’t run out of screens, wherever you see.
The much-anticipated Skoda Octavia RS is expected to debut in India, catering to enthusiasts who crave performance and sophistication. Globally, it is powered by a 2.0-litre petrol engine, that churns out 265 PS and 370 Nm and a plug-in hybrid putting out 245 horses.
Sporting a sleeker, sportier design and an upmarket cabin inspired by the latest Kodiaq and Superb models, the RS variant does stand out for those who want a sporty sedan. For those seeking a car that delivers both speed and style, the Octavia RS promises to be a contender, at the very least.
The second-generation Skoda Kodiaq is expected to land on the Indian shores, this time with a refreshed design both inside and out. The new-gen model brings larger dimensions for a more commanding presence and additional interior space, ensuring comfort for families on every journey.
It is expected to continue to be powered by the 2.0-litre petrol engine producing 190 PS and 320 Nm, providing a good balance of power and efficiency. Inside, the upgraded tech and premium materials make it an option for those looking for a luxurious, family-friendly SUV. The Kodiaq facelift is expected to appeal to Skoda’s loyal fanbase while also attracting new customers.

Powered by the same 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, delivering 190 PS and 320 Nm, the Superb is expected to be a contender in the executive sedan segment.
As with any generation update, the new Superb comes packing an evolutionary design and a brand-new cabin with even more tech.
It is also expected to get Level 2 ADAS for added safety.

Inside, expect a fresh cabin with updated themes, a digital driver’s display, and additional features that will elevate the luxury experience. The Gloster will likely retain its two diesel engine options — a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine generating 161 PS and 374 Nm, and a more powerful 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine producing 216 PS and 479 Nm. Both engines will be paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
