At the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, the MG Majestor was unveiled as the automaker's flagship SUV in India. It received considerable interior and exterior design improvements, as well as some new features, but the powertrain options remain same as the Gloster. The Majestor appears to be a facelifted Gloster, but MG has clarified that it would not replace the fullsize SUV, but rather be marketed alongside it. Let's see what it has to offer.
The major update comes upfront, right at its face. It features an all-updated fascia that looks more upright than before with a larger gaping grille and is further accentuated by vertically stacked LED headlights positioned above sleek LED DRLs.
The profile looks muscular and large. It sits on 19-inch newly designed alloy wheels.
At the rear, you see connected LED taillights and a revised bumper with dual exhaust outlets.
Inside, the MG Majestor SUV is expected to bring in a completely new flavour with a new cabin theme and an upgraded dashboard layout.
As for features, it will lkely be equipped with a wealth of features such as large infotainment, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital driver’s display, a wireless phone charger, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, a 12-way powered front seat with massage and ventilation and a three-zone climate control.
For safety, the new Majestor is expected to get at least six airbags, a 360-degree camera, ABS with EBD, hill-hold assist, ISOFIX mounts, and level-2 ADAS features.
The MG Majestor is expected to be offered with two diesel engines: a 2-litre turbo-diesel making 161 PS and 374 Nm, and a 2-litre twin-turbo diesel producing 216 PS and 479 Nm. Both these engine options are paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The MG Majestor is expected to be priced from Rs 40 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete with models like the Toyota Fortuner and other 7-seater SUVs like the Jeep Meridian and Skoda Kodiaq.
