Starting with the main change, the heart of the matter, the Urus SE gets a 4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine paired with an electric motor to put out a combined output of a whopping 800 PS and 950 Nm. All of that is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed torque converter, for a 0-100 kmph run in a blisteringly quick 3.4 seconds, and a top speed of 312 kmph.

The Urus SE is capable of going a distance of 60 km in pure EV mode, courtesy its 25.9kWh battery pack. It can reach a top speed of 130 kmph in the EV-only mode, post which the V8 engine kicks in. The Urus SE gets a total of ten drive modes, including the four new drive modes: EV Drive, Hybrid, Performance, and Recharge.

Making its debut on the Urus SE is the new centrally located longitudinal electric torque vectoring system with an electro-hydraulic multi-plate clutch, which gives out torque variably and continuously between the front and rear axles. Lamborghini says that the SUV gets “on demand oversteer” to provide the feeling of driving a supercar.

The Urus SE gets upgrades both for the exterior as well as the interior. Taking inspiration from the Revuelto, it gets a new cleaner bonnet design, which Lambo says is for continuity. Another addition for the exterior is the new DRL signature and two new colours: Arancio Egon (orange), and Bianco Sapphirus (white).

Coming to the interior, the already racy cabin gets two upgrades in the form of a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. You get an option of customising the dashboard with 47 interior themes on offer.

The India launch date for the Urus SE has not been announced yet. If launched in India, we expect it to be priced higher than the Urus S, which starts from Rs 4.18 cr (ex-showroom). It rivals the likes of the Aston Martin DBX, Porsche Cayenne Turbo, Audi RS Q8, BMW X5 M, and Mercedes-AMG GLE 63S Coupe.
