4,085 sales came from within the first nine months of 2021 itself.
Is powered by a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine making 650PS.
It retails in India at prices starting from Rs 3.16 crore (ex-showroom, India).
Lamborghini stepped into the realm of super SUVs with the Urus’ debut back in December 4, 2017, and with shifting trends, it has been something of a goldmine for the Sant'Agata Bolognese carmaker. Fast forward to its fourth anniversary in 2021, and the Urus has crossed 16,000 sales worldwide, the best selling Lamborghini model over a four year period.
Out of these global sales, a whopping 4,085 of them came from the first nine months of 2021 itself (from January to September). It outperformed the Huracán (2,136) and the Aventador (681) within that same period. Even back home, the Urus has found over a hundred homes since its launch in January 2018. Recently, the carmaker introduced the Graphite Capsule customisable option in India which adds new color palettes inside and out.
The super SUV gets its grunt from a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine delivering 650PS and 850Nm. Despite its weight of around 2.2 tonnes, it’s quick off the line with a 3.6-second 0-100kmph sprint time, a 12.8-second 0-200kmph sprint, and on to a 305kmph top end. It also gets off-road modes if you’re interested in venturing off the beaten path (something we doubt Indian owners would do).
In India, prices of the Lamborghini Urus start from Rs 3.16 crore (ex-showroom), and it rivals the Audi RS Q8, Bentley Bentayga, Porsche Cayenne Turbo, and BMW X5M.
