Maruti has given its little Ignis an update in the form of a new special edition. It is called the Ignis Radiance Edition and is available across its variant lineup, save for the Delta trim. The base Sigma Radiance edition is now priced at Rs 5.49 lakh, which is Rs 35,000 less than the standard Sigma variant. So not only does the new edition pack some new cosmetic cues, but also carries a price cut with it.
Radiance Edition Price and Details
The changes of the Radiance Edition are limited to just cosmetic tweaks, which help give the Ignis a more robust design. The Sigma trim gets wheel covers, door visor and some chrome treatment for the exterior. These additions with the Radiance Edition cost Rs 3,650, while the total cost comes to Rs 5,320 if they were to be picked individually.
The Zeta and Alpha trims benefit from new seat covers and cushions, while their exterior gets a door visor and some door cladding as well. These can be had for a premium of Rs 9,500, while they individually would have amounted to a total of Rs 11,9710.
Apart from these updates, there are no changes to its powertrain or even the features list.
Ignis Features
The Maruti Ignis comes with features like a 7-inch SmartPlay Studio infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, electric ORVMs, push start stop, and MID with TFT screen.
The safety kit is made up of dual front airbags, rear parking camera, electronic stability control (ESC), ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors.
Ignis Powertrain
The Ignis gets its propulsion duties carried out by a 1.2-litre petrol engine (83 PS/113 Nm), which can be had with an option of a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT (automated manual transmission).
The Ignis is not available with a CNG kit from the factory.
Ignis Rivals
The Maruti Ignis is a rival to the Tata Punch, Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai Exter and the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios.
