The Marazzo MPV has been silently removed from the official website after being on sale for almost seven years.
The Mahindra Marazzo was priced from Rs 14.59 lakh to Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom).
It was offered with a 1.5-litre diesel engine that produced 123 PS and 300 Nm.
It was the only MPV in Mahindra’s portfolio.
The Marazzo has been dropped from Mahindra’s official website, leading us to speculate if it has been discontinued. While we are still waiting for an official confirmation from Mahindra, our dealer sources have confirmed that it has been axed for good. The Marazzo was the only MPV offered by the Indian SUVmaker, and had a unique design of its own.
It first went on sale in 2018, and it was last priced from Rs 14.59 lakh onwards (ex-showroom). The Marazzo, before the time of its discontinuation, was offered in three variants: M2, M4+ and M6+.
As mentioned above, the Marazzo had been on sale since 2018, but it was never able to capture the interest of the Indian buyers as much as Mahindra would have liked. The Marazzo’s sales figures over the past few months have been below average, and in May 2024, only 16 units of the MPV were sold in India.
Apart from the low sales, another reason for its delisting could be the market domination by rival MPVs like the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Kia Carens and the Toyota Innova Crysta.
The features that were offered with the Marazzo include, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 4.2-inch digital driver's display, 4 speaker sound system, height adjustable driver seat, steering mounted audio controls, electrically adjustable ORVMs, cruise control, keyless entry, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, and cruise control.
In terms of safety, it got dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX seat anchors, rear defogger, and a reverse parking camera with sensors.
The Marazzo came with a 1.5-litre diesel engine making 123 PS and 300 Nm and paired with a sole 6-speed manual transmission. It was the only engine option available with the MPV.
Mahindra might not have any other MPV currently on sale, but has a range of SUVs to choose from. The lineup includes the XUV 3XO, Thar, Scorpio Classic, Scorpio N, Bolero, Bolero Neo, Bolero Neo Plus and the XUV700. Mahindra also offers the XUV400 EV, which is its only EV for now.
The Marazzo locked horns with other popular models such as the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Kia Carens and Toyota Innova Crysta. Let us know your thoughts about this decision from Mahindra in the comments below.
