The petrol variants of the XUV 3XO have outsold the diesel variants by a significant number in May.
A total of 10,702 units of the XUV 3XO have been sold in May (includes XUV 400 EV).
The sub compact SUV is available with 2 petrol engines and a diesel engine.
Available in 9 broad trims to choose from.
The XUV 3XO is Mahindra’s new SUV on the block, and it has been in news for its segment-first features and the updated design over the previous model (XUV300). The compact SUV offers customers multiple engine options to choose from, including both petrol and diesel engines. Of the different engines on offer, it is the petrol variants which have outsold the diesel variants.
Let’s take a look at the figures of both petrol and diesel (includes EV models) XUV 3XO:

As seen in the table above, 61.9 percent of the XUV 3XO's sales come from the petrol variants, while the rest consists of the diesel and XUV400 EV variants. This clearly shows that preference for the petrol variants are higher than diesel and EV versions.
The XUV 3XO comes with plenty of features, including a couple of segment-firsts. The features list comprises of a panoramic sunroof, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, dual-zone climate control, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, a wireless phone charger, and rear AC vents.
Safety features consist of 6 airbags, Level-2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, 3-point seatbelts with reminder for all occupants, and ISOFIX child seat mounts.
As mentioned above, the XUV 3XO gets multiple engine options to choose from. The engine options include a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol producing 110 PS, a 1.2-litre T-GDI turbo-petrol engine making 130 PS, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine generating 117 PS. The engines can be mated to either a 6-speed manual (which is standard), a 6-speed torque converter for the petrol engines and a 6-speed AMT for the diesel.
The Mahindra XUV 3XO is priced from Rs 7.49 lakh to Rs 15.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The XUV 3XO rivals the likes of the Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Tata Nexon, and Kia Sonet.
