Anand Mahindra has gifted a Mahindra XUV400 EV electric SUV to India's chess prodigy, Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa. The 18-year-old is currently the number one chess player in India, having recently surpassed Viswanathan Anand in the chess rankings. In addition, he is the youngest player from India to get to the 2023 FIDE Chess World Cup Final and was so close in clinching the title before being beaten by Magnus Carlsen.
In recognition of this achievement, Mahindra's chairman, Anand Mahindra, declared that he would gift Praggnanandhaa an electric SUV. The promise made in 2023 has now been fulfilled as the chess genius has taken delivery of the XUV400 EV. Praggnanandhaa has expressed his gratitude by thanking the Mahindra chairperson for the kind gesture by tweeting a photo of himself with his parents during the delivery of the electric SUV.
