Mahindra has been belting out hits over the last few years, especially with the XUV700 making headlines from time and time again. While the SUV continues to enjoy a healthy waiting period, 2 lakh units of the Mahindra XUV700 have rolled out of the factory, a production milestone achieved in just 33 months (less than 3 years). To celebrate this feat, the carmaker has added two new shades to the XUV700’s colour palette, taking the total number of available hues to nine.

Journey To 2 Lakh XUV700s

This production milestone doesn’t come as a surprise when you factor in the demand for the XUV700. It has always been on the higher side with Mahindra struggling to keep up with the orders, which on some occasions, resulted in waiting times soaring up to a year in some cities. To keep those in check, the marque had recently ramped up production for the XUV700, along with a few of its other SUVs.

That ramp up in production shows in the timeline, as the first one lakh units took 21 months, while the following one lakh units rolled out in a period of just 12 months. But despite the production being increased, the XUV700 still has a waiting period of up to 7 months in a few cities.

New Colours For The XUV700

Marking the occasion, there are no special editions or variants, but, Mahindra has added two new hues to the XUV700’s colour palette, namely: Deep Forest and Burnt Sienna. The Deep Forest shade of green can be found on other Mahindra vehicles as well,  but the Burn Sienna brown shade is exclusive to the XUV700.

Its palette now consists of 9 colours: Deep Forest, Burnt Sienna, Dazzling Silver, Electric Blue, Everest White, Midnight Black, Red Rage, Napoli Black, and Blaze Red (Blaze edition). Some of these hues can also be opted with a dual-tone black roof.

So it now boasts a 5-, 6-, and 7-seater option, which can be opted depending on the variant and on your preference.
