Maruti will be launching the new-generation Dzire on November 11, 2024 in India. Ahead of its launch, we were able to get our hands on the uncamouflaged images of the 2024 Dzire, revealing its exterior design. Up until now, the Dzire had a more curvy and Swift-like design, but with the upcoming model, Maruti seems to have gone in a new direction. Apart from a revised exterior design, the interior of the 2024 Dzire will also be updated along with a new engine on offer.
For now, let’s take a look at the design differences between the new and the old Dzire:
From the front, the new Dzire boasts bolder and sharper look, while the outgoing model’s fascia resembles that of the Swift with a more curvy design. The grille has become larger and also gets new design, but the horizontal slats seem to have been retained. The old model got chrome surrounds around the grille, while the new one gets a chrome strap spanning across the sedan’s width.
The LED headlights have gotten horizontal and sleeker now and the bumper gets a more aggressive look. In short, the fascia looks more boxy now, in comparison to the rounded look of the outgoing model.
From the sides, you get a new design for the alloy wheels. We expect the length and height to be similar to that of the outgoing model.
The rear gets a new Y-shaped design for the LED tail lights which will replace the larger and slightly outdated (design-wise) tail lights of the outgoing Dzire. Both the versions get a chrome strip which runs across the width of the tailgate. The older model gets a regular antenna, while the new model will get a shark fin one.
We expect Maruti to introduce some new colours with the upcoming Dzire.
The new Dzire will most likely be upgraded with a new cabin, featuring a 2024 Swift-like dashboard design and layout. Just like the older model, we expect the new Dzire to also get a dualtone black and beige colour scheme.

In terms of features, the 2024 Dzire is expected to come with a bigger 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, push button-start stop, cruise control, keyless entry, and automatic climate control with rear AC vents.
Safety kit will likely include 6 airbags as standard, ABS with EBD, ESC and reverse parking sensors. It has been confirmed by the spy shots that the new Dzire will be introduced with a sunroof and a 360-degree camera as well.
The new Dzire will most likely get the new Swift-sourced 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine which makes 82 PS and 112 Nm. Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT. The current model is powered by a 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine which makes 90 PS and 113 Nm.
The upcoming Dzire is expected to be priced from around Rs 7 lakh (ex-showroom). It will continue its rivalry with the Hyundai Aura, Tata Tigor, and Honda Amaze. The current model of the Dzire is priced between Rs 6.56 lakh to Rs 9.33 lakh (ex-showroom).
