The Maruti Ertiga has received a new update that brings more safety features to the standard equipment list. All variants now get electronic stability programme (ESP) and hill-hold assist in addition to government-mandated safety features.

Maruti Ertiga Safety Features

Maruti’s people mover offers up to four airbags and brake assist in higher-spec variants. The standard kit includes dual airbags, ABS, rear parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat anchors and the aforementioned ESP and hill hold assist.

Earlier in 2019, Global NCAP had awarded a three-star rating to the Ertiga for adult and child occupant safety. Back then, the MPV’s body shell and footwell had been rated ‘unstable’ in the tests. The current Ertiga does offer more standard safety kit, but it has similar underpinnings as its predecessor.
