Tata, one of India’s largest car manufacturers, is known for offering its cars with plenty of variants and new editions giving buyers a wide range of options to choose from as per their liking. At the Auto Expo 2025, the Safari Bandipur Edition has been showcased! The mid-size SUV in this special edition, features a new colour shade, blacked-out design elements, subtle cosmetic additions and subtle tweaks to the interior.
But why Bandipur? Some of you might be knowing that Tata had a Kaziranga Edition inspired by the popular Kaziranga National Park which is a UNESCO world heritage site in Assam. This time Tata has taken the Bandipur National Park for reference, paying an ode to the site which is famous for being home to animals such as tigers, elephants and more.
The Safari Bandipur edition gets the same design language, styling and body style of the Safari. However, it brings in a new exclusive exterior hue with contrasting blacked-out elements. The elements include blacked-out alloy wheels, black ORVMs and accents on the front and rear end. You also get plenty of badges and Bandipur logos, including emblems on the fenders.
Step inside and you will notice that the exterior colour schemes are carried over to the interior as well. You get a dual-tone scheme for the cabin which gives it a nice contrasting look. Additionally, you also have an exclusive upholstery and special emblems embossed on the headrests.
Apart from these changes, everything else remains the same. The dashboard design and layout remains the same and the features list also remains unchanged. The Safari’s top amenities include a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated and powered front seats, powered tailgate, a dual-zone climate control, a 360-degree camera and level-2 ADAS.
Under the hood, everything remains the same. The special edition comes with the familiar 2-litre diesel engine which churns out 170 PS and 350 Nm. The engine can be opted for with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission options.
While there is no news yet about its launch date, the Safari Bandipur Edition could be offered at a slight premium over the standard Safari which is priced from Rs 15.49 lakh to Rs 26.79 lakh (ex-showroom).
