MG Majestor Vs Toyota Fortuner: Here’s A Comparison Of Their Designs!

In India, we love our SUVs, especially those that have a strong road presence capable of dominating and standing out from the nearby cars. One such SUV has been the Toyota Fortuner full-size SUV! At the Auto Expo 2025, MG revealed the upcoming Majestor, a full-size SUV which is capable of giving a tough fight to the iconic Fortuner. 

In this article, we take a look at the design of both these mighty SUVs: 

Fortuner Vs Majestor: Design 

For this comparison, we will be taking the top-spec Legender version of the Fortuner. Both these SUVs are difficult to ignore on the road and their sheer presence does give them a dominating status. 

Up front, the fascia of both these cars take an aggressive and bold approach. The Majestor gets sleeker LED lighting elements up front and a massive grille which looks imposing. The Majestor has a more upright stance as well. The Fortuner on the other has a familiar look with a nice “X” pattern formed in its front design. Both SUVs have been given plenty of blacked-out elements for a sporty appeal. 

In profile, the Majestor looks more butch, thanks to its rectangularish elements. The ORVMs and door handles are blacked-out on the Majestor and get a chrome finish on the Fortuner. Alloy wheels of both SUVs look striking, but the wheel arches of the MG looks chunkier. The Fortuner gets 18-inch alloy wheels, while the Majestor gets larger 19-inch alloys. 

The rear end of the Fortuner looks cleaner and slightly old-school, while that of the Majestor looks busy and modern with the connecting LED tail light setup. The MORRIS GARAGES badging is something which cannot be ignored on the Majestor. The Majestor’s dual exhaust goes well with the bulky looks.  Both get a roof-mounted spoiler but the Fortuner also gets a shark fin antenna for a sportier appeal. 

Price And Other Rivals 

We expect the Majestor to be priced at around Rs 45 lakh (ex-shworoom), similar to the Legender which is priced between Rs 43.66 lakh to Rs 47.64 lakh. Both these SUVs rival the likes of the Jeep Meridian and Skoda Kodiaq. 

While the Fortuner is undoubtedly the preferred choice among buyers who want a macho and rugged SUV, the MG Majestor also has the attributes and qualities to match up to the majesty of the Fortuner and give it tough competition.
