Moto Morini has dropped the prices of the X Cape 650 and the X Cape 650X adventure bikes in a bid to attract more customers. Price drops are as welcome as monsoon after hot summers, and this move should help the brand as it has not seen much success in India.
When we reviewed the X Cape 650 and X Cape 650X, they left a neat impression on us. Unlike many other Chinese-owned Italian brands, the Moto Morinis weren’t as disappointing, but seemed to have lost the plot when it came to pricing. However, that stands to change now.
Details of the Moto Morini price drop below:
Model |
New Price |
Old Price |
Price Difference |
Moto Morini X Cape 650 |
Rs 5,99,000 |
Rs 7,30,000 |
Rs 1,31,000 |
Moto Morini X Cape 650X |
Rs 6,49,000 |
Rs 7,50,000 |
Rs 1,01,000 |
(ex-showroom, India)
The two Moto Morinis are now the cheapest adventure bikes in the 650cc space in India, positioning them under the Kawasaki Versys 650 and Triumph Tiger Sport 660, which are priced from Rs 7,77,000 and Rs 9,58,000 (ex-showroom, India), respectively. The Aprilia Tuareg 660 is its rival too, but at Rs 18.85 lakh (ex-showroom), it's massively more expensive than the more powerful and feature-packed Ducati Multistrada V2. (Let that sink in).
And finally, though the drop in price may make these Moto Morini adventure bikes seem value-for-money, there’s more than what meets the eye considering Moto Morini is essentially a ‘boutique’ brand.
