- MV Agusta Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro has been unveiled
- Priced at £61,400 (around Rs 66 lakh)
- Only 500 units of the motorcycle will be produced
MV Agusta makes arguably the most beautiful motorcycles on the planet and the Italian manufacturer has done it again with the MV Agusta Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro. It is priced at £61,400 (around Rs 66 lakh!) and its production is limited to 500 units.
The stunning supersport gets a round LED headlight surrounded by beautiful design lines that flow from the fender to the tank and goes all the way to the tail section in a very coherent manner. It also gets winglets on either side for better aerodynamic performance. The iconic star-shaped wheels, painted in gold, look just heavenly and the 4-tip titanium exhaust (developed by Akrapovic) underneath the seat is an instant reminder that this is an MV Agusta. The motorcycle gets 41 components made of carbon fibre like the dashboard support, chain guard and the full fairing to name a few and the beautiful red, gold and silver paint just ties up the whole design beautifully.
Powering the gorgeous motorcycle is a 998cc, liquid-cooled, 16-valve, inline-four engine producing 208PS at 13,000rpm and 116.5Nm at 11,000rpm. The acute attention to detail to make this motorcycle truly a one of a kind machine also applies to the internals as the engine gets radial titanium valves, forged titanium rods and DLC-coated (Diamond-like carbon) camshafts. It comes paired to a 6-speed gearbox and a bi-directional quickshifter. The supersport gets a trellis frame and an aluminium single-sided swingarm.

The suspension setup consists of a 43mm inverted fork with 120mm wheel travel and a 36mm monoshock with 120mm wheel travel (both fully adjustable and from Öhlins). Stopping this monster of a supersport are twin 320mm front discs radial Stylema calipers and a 220mm rear disc with a 2-piston caliper (all from Brembo).
It comes loaded with features and gets a 5.5-inch TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. It comes equipped with ride-by-wire technology, four riding modes: Rain, Sport, Race and Custom, switchable traction control and wheelie control (which MV Agusta calls FLC or Front Lift Control), launch control and cruise control.
The MV Agusta 1000 Superveloce 1000 Serie Oro’s pre-orders were reserved exclusively for collectors of the brand and the remaining units out of the 500 will be made available at the manufacturer’s dealerships. If you have that kind of money to spend on a motorcycle, you might try your luck at that. But MV Agusta’s have always been so beautiful and most of us mere mortals are happy to just have a look at it. Bellissimo!
