New Bajaj Pulsar Teased; Launch Likely In January 2025

Bajaj has teased a new Pulsar and we think it will most likely be the updated Pulsar RS200. The Instagram reel which they shared only gave us a hint of how the new and upcoming Pulsar would sound.

The exhaust note we get to hear in the Instagram reel is quite rasp and not throaty enough to be a 400cc motorcycle. This brings us to the Bajaj Pulsar RS200, the faired motorcycle from the manufacturer which has a sharp design language and shares the same sporty engine with the NS200. It is currently powered by a  199.5cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 24.5PS at 9,750rpm and 18.7Nm at 8,000rpm, and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. In terms of features, the motorcycle comes equipped with a dual-projector headlight setup featuring twin LED daytime running lights (DRLs), as well as LED indicators and an LED tail lamp. The semi-digital instrument cluster is a bit outdated though, and it lacks smartphone connectivity, even as an option. This is where we think Bajaj will come in and update the motorcycle with an LCD instrument console and connectivity features. 

Expected Price and Launch Date

The updated Pulsar is expected to command a premium over the outgoing model which is priced at Rs 1,74,419 (ex-showroom, Delhi). We expect the motorcycle to launch sometime in January 2025 and will go against the likes of Yamaha R15.
