Quick Highlights:
Hero MotoCorp has trademarked a new electric bike for kids in India. From the trademark images, it looks like a small dirt/off-road electric bike and its design is very similar to the Vida Acro electric bike, which was showcased at EICMA 2023.
Made for kids, the trademarked Hero Vida bike is going to be a small bike with a simple and straight forward design. Its looks are inspired by the bigger dirt bikes with off-road style fenders and large spoke wheels, which are fitted with block-pattern tyres.
The Vida kids electric bike features a small fuel tank with tank shrouds, a slim and long seat and a sleek tail section. The bike has a simple and easy-to-reach handlebar and misses out on an instrument console. The Vida Acro has a height adjustable feature and we expect the newly trademarked Vida kids bike to also get the same function as well.
While the trademark image gives us a rough idea of how the electric bike is going to look, it doesn’t reveal all details of the bike. For example, the braking setup cannot be seen in the trademark images. But, we expect the bike to have disk brakes on both ends for more consistent braking.
Hero has not revealed any specifications of the bike yet, but we expect it to be revealed by the brand later. The production version isn’t likely to be here anytime soon and may take a while to launch. So, don’t get your hopes high.
However, this kids electric off-road bike from Hero could provide a new learning platform for kids who are interested in bikes and off-roading. It can be a good training bike for young athletes who want to participate in competitions such as the Supercross League.
