Honda To Soon Launch New ADV Scooter Fit For India In Home Country

While we are finally getting maxi-scooters in India, when it comes to adventure-focused scooters, sadly we have none. But, we know Honda has a few circulating in international markets and it has also recently teased a 160cc, 4-valve scooter that’s most likely the new ADV 160.

The teaser lets you in on only a few details of the upcoming scooter. The most obvious nod to it being the ADV 160 is its headlight that’s strikingly similar to the ADV 150. The silhouette of the scooter looks sporty and other features like the taller flyscreen, alloy rims and the seat design, all bear resemblance to the ADV 150.

Like the PCX 160, the ADV 160 will be powered by a 156cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine making 15.8PS and 15Nm. Both the PCX160 and the Vario 160 are made in Indonesia and the ADV 160 will be the third scooter to join the party.

Sadly the ADV 160 will not make an Indian debut anytime soon. But if it did, it would take on the Aprilia SR 160, Aprilia SXR 160, Yamaha Aerox 155 and the Keeway Vieste 300.
