Nissan Z Nismo teased in a dynamic video.
Teaser hints at a hopped-up Z with sportier front and rear ends and red inserts all around.
Cabin gets bucket seats with Nismo branding.
Powertrain likely to be tuned for a higher output.
Could be put on a diet and get revised mechanicals for better handling and stability while on the limit.
India launch is highly unlikely.
You know there’s some serious stuff about to unfold whenever Nissan gives the Nismo treatment to its sports car. And the next one to get the Nismo tune is the cute little Z sports car, which made its debut back in 2021. Nissan has only dropped a teaser for it, showing the Z Nismo ripping some serious rubber on a closed track.
Apart from the hooliganism of the Nissan Z Nismo going very sideways, the teaser, as you can see above, also shines light on some of the revisions that we can expect. Just like the Nissan GT-R Nismo, this one will also sport a red outline throughout the exterior and an insert on the ORVM as well.
It also seems to get a stickier set of tyres, while both the front and rear now have a more aggressive styling and stance. You also get Nismo branding on the front and rear bumpers. The red inserts follow in on the inside and can be found on the steering wheel and the new bucket seats that have the Nismo wordmark inscribed.
As for the powertrain, we know the twin-turbo V6 is going to be retained, but the tune of the engine hasn’t been confirmed. It could be bored out for a higher displacement than its standard 3-litre unit, but if it isn’t, it will likely boast a higher state of tune than its standard (400PS/474Nm) output. Other powertrain details and their corresponding performance deets shall be disclosed when the covers are officially lifted off the Z Nismo.

And to extract as much performance as possible, the Z Nismo could be put on a diet. This should not only help it go quicker, but should help it make it more agile and nimble to drive. Speaking of which, you can expect the underpinnings to be revised to enhance the overall driving experience.

The Nissan Z Nismo could break cover in the coming days, so stay tuned for more updates on it. But if you’re hoping that it makes its way to India, we’ve got news for you: It won’t. And that’s because not even the standard Z is available on our shores, so there’s no chance Nissan will bring it here. But on the off chance it does, the Z Nismo would rival the likes of the Toyota Supra, Porsche 718, BMW M2 and Z4.
