Offers are available on: S1 Pro, S1 X and S1 Air
Up to Rs 25,000 off and an exchange bonus of Rs 5,000 on the Ola S1 Pro
Ola Electric has announced a 72-hour limited-period offer on its electric scooter lineup for this festive season. Here’s what the EV-maker is offering:
The Ola S1 X (2kWh) electric scooter is now available at Rs 49,999 (ex-showroom including Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme 2024). This offer is available until stocks last. Other models like the S1 X (3 kWh), S1 X+, S1 X (4 kWh), S1 Air and S1 Pro are offered with discounts of up to Rs 25,000. The flagship S1 Pro electric scooter gets an exchange bonus of Rs 5,000. Additionally, the company is offering offers worth Rs 25,000 which includes an 8-year or 80,000 km battery warranty worth Rs 7,000 and up to Rs 6,000 worth of MoveOS feature upgrades. Benefits of up to ₹5,000 on select credit card EMIs are also offered.
The Ola S1 X (2kWh) electric scooter has a 2kWh battery pack, offering a claimed range of 84km in Eco mode and 71km in Normal mode. It is powered by a 2.7kW motor with a peak power output of 6kW or 8PS, with a top speed of 85kmph.
The S1 X gets a telescopic fork and twin shock absorbers. For braking, it gets drum brakes at both ends and rides on 12-inch wheels. It has a 4.3-inch LCD instrument console and the scooter is equipped with all-LED lighting and three ride modes: Eco, Normal, and Sport. However, it lacks Bluetooth phone connectivity. It also gets 34 litres of underseat storage. The S1 X competes with the Hero Electric Optima, Okinawa PraisePro, and Ampere Magnus EX.
Recently, the EV maker has faced public backlash due to reliability issues with their scooters, causing service centres to become overwhelmed with resolving these problems and leaving customers extremely dissatisfied. The company has also received a notice from the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA), as approximately 10,644 complaints have been registered with the National Consumer Helpline since September 2023.
