Over 2,300 Units Of Pre-facelift Toyota Glanza Recalled

The issue is for cars manufactured between April 2019 and October 2019

  • Toyota has recalled the pre-facelift Glanza to fix a possible issue with the fuel pump motor.

  • 2,305 units of the Glanza have been affected.

  • Affected vehicles were manufactured between April 2, 2019 and October 6, 2019.

  • Toyota has announced that the authorised dealership workshops will contact the affected car owners.

 

Toyota India has recalled 2305 units of the pre-facelift Glanza to fix a possible defect in the fuel pump motor. The units that have been recalled were manufactured between April 2, 2019 and October 6, 2019. The issue with the fuel pump motor in affected units could lead to engine stalling or have difficulty starting.



The voluntary recall campaign will be a continuation of the campaign conducted by Toyota on 31st July 2020. Authorised Toyota dealerships will contact individual customers for the necessary steps to be taken, including inspecting the part and replacing it at no extra cost. Customers with any questions or concerns can contact their nearest dealership or call Toyota India’s customer care at 1800-309 0001.

 

Toyota Glanza

The Glanza, which is technically a rebadged Maruti Baleno, is Toyota’s only hatchback in the market. It comes with a 1.2-litre petrol engine making 89 PS and 113 Nm, and is also available with CNG.
